    In testing the plugin on this site, I activated it, reviewed that it worked, which it did. When I then de-activated it to make the site live again, the home page was not working, getting a 404 error. Upon researching it had been set to PRIVATE and the home page template changed from the default to a LightStart template. I manually had to go in and set these back for it to work, then also reset the WP home page to be the page again. I am not sure if any other pages were affected, but this is a real pain. Is this how it is supposed to work??? I am using the Divi theme with SiteGround hosting.

    Thanks for using LightStart and reaching out to us.

    I have tried replicating this behavior with the Divi theme but it works fine on my end. I was wondering if you have any staging instance where you can enable LightStart and try to replicate the bug again so that we can debug the behavior if it is really a bug.

    Would it be possible to create a staging site where the issue can be seen? This way we could take a look at it, as we can’t replicate it on our end, and your actual site will still work as expected.

    Hi Kush

    In looking at other support posts, I tried clearing the site cache, then doing the process again, and it all seemed to work fine. Somehow the issues mentioned above were likely due to that, but not sure. If the issue is just with the home page, it is not a big deal, but obviously one wouldn’t want to manually fix all pages on a site. (I hadn’t tried clearing the site cache to see if that fixed the issue before, so don’t know for sure) I am using it for some large sites over the weekend so will report back any issues.
