I set the follow OG metadata values the first time but now can’t update them only on the home page – I can update the title and descriptions on the other pages by using the Yoast Bulk Update tool:

    og:title
    og:description
    og:image

I have read a bunch of the other posts and it seems like a PHP hack might be the only fix. I hope not. Even the Yoast Bulk Editor does not work on the Home page fields. And the og:image appears to be set from the Yoast Social / Facebook Default image URL setting. Correct me if this is not the place to update the image URL.

  • I’m seeing the same thing on my static home page. I’ve edited the page to set the SEO title and meta description. Also used the social tab to add the same to the Facebook title/description. Still the OG for title and description display the site name and tagline only.

Anyone found a solution? Or does this sound like a bug that needs reporting on Gisthub?

Just did a bit more testing, and in my case anyway it appears to be a conflict with the Genesis Extender plugin and using its Static Homepage setup. So not a Yoast bug! Will have to find a solution still though. :/
