Home page, pages in archive and link from homepage to second page

  • Right now I only have two posts because my site is new.

    I would like one post to be the ‘homepage’ but am not sure how to stipulate that.

    I would like a link to the the second page (and future ones) to show up in a side bar.

    I’d like to add an internal link in my home page to my second page.

    I’m new to WordPress but the above was very easy in blogger.com and I’m sure it is in WordPress.

    Just need to know how to do it.

    I have the ‘Different Posts Per Page 1.7.5’ plug-in installed.
