    I am attempting to redesign a website that I inherited. I reset the DB and installed the Total WP Theme. I imported the Nouveau demo and all of the pages installed fine. The problem is that the person who created the old site has the home page redirecting to their design. I am not sure how or where to remove that so that the Template will show as the home page.

  • On settings->reading you can set your Home page as the page you want.

    Thanks Bacciotti. It says home page but the developer programmed the page to redirect to a different page design. It is not the Template’s home page design.

    @trjames65 hello again,

    You should set which page you want to customize and do it.

    Then, you can change the option mentioned above.

    Did you get it?

    It is set to the home page, and the code references the Theme in classic mode. It is even appears fine in the Backend Editor, but when I click on the Frontend Editor, the page locks up as it is trying to load that alternate page (not the theme’s home page).

    I am somewhat a beginner with WordPress, so I am learning as I go along.

    Ok, no problem, you are in the way to learn.

    Is it possible to send us some screenshots?

    A friend of mine figured it out. The previous developer created an index.html file that was overriding the index.php file. All is well now. Thanks so much for helping me with this issue.

    Bacciotti, the site is working perfectly now. This issue has been resolved. Thanks again for your help.

    I am glad to hear that! Good luck with your site.
