Home page slider

Hi,

I think you are using slider plugin.

To add post in slider follow below instructions:

Go to Dashboard Admin Panel >> Posts >> Add New.

Now create post which you want to add into slider.

After it Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Matrix Options >> Slider Options

>> Select Posts to be Shown in Slider.

Now select upto 3 posts and save the changes.

Make sure slider on home page is enabled.

I think I couldn’t communicate my problem exactly. Let me put it this.

I have constructed a page:
https://cmb.org.pk/home/

and I want contents of this page copy pasted to my home page in place of previously existing stuff.

Its ok,

You have created a your own page with name Home.

But on this page you can’t show slider.

So if you want to use slider then create new page and assign it to “home”

page template.

If you want to show your content below the slider then use extra content

option from customizer.

Go to dashboard Admin Panel >> Appearance >> Matrix Options >>

Extra Content Options >> Put your extra content here.

Now put your content which you want to show below the slider or on Custom

home page.

Thanks for trying to guide me, but i’m still lost.

What I did was

>Went to the my home page in editing>attributed that as Home in template>saved it>copied all the stuff from editor> went to dashboard Admin Panel > Appearance > Matrix Options > Extra Content Options > Pasted all the copied data in extra content box > saved

but noting got changed on theme homepage. Pls help.

I desperately want that Central Dogma and Core Component Section at https://www.cmb.org.pk replaced by contents I made at https://cmb.org.pk/contents-for-home-page/

Why don’t you just set your custom created page as Home page (Front page) .

To do so goto Admin Dashboard >> Settings >> Reading

Select Front Page radio button and from dropdown select the page you want to show as Front Page.

Save the Settings.

Yeah I did that..but lost the slider. To add slider I went to customize and enabled slider for homepage..selected on post for slider which had its feature image set but nothing..saved the setting BUT no slider appeared.

Hi,

Slider won’t show until you will not set Home page template as front page.

Create a page title it Home, select Home Page Template from right side publish the page.

Goto Settings >> Reading

Select radio button A static Page.

From Front Page dropdown select the Home page you have created earlier save the settings.

Now you can change Home page contents from Cusrtmizer option panel.

You can’t put slider on your custom static page.
