    Hi.

    I hoping this isn’t going to be a silly question as I’ve spent about an Hour trying to figure it out.

    for the life of me I can’t figure out how to get any image on the home page slider that comes as standard, let alone getting it to slide!

    Second part of the question:
    Can I use my own specified image, insert text or a certain product into this slider.

    I’m using it as a store with woocommerce so i wont be having “latest posts” for it to use.

  • you can tryout some of the many great slideshow plugins out there to show off your products with cool sliding effects and big slides..

    i would have to dig in myself now, but thats definetely the way to go..

    hope this points in the right direction at least..

    now, how to get an image into the slider:

    firstly add a featured image for every product.. just edit each product and add your featured image in the option meta box for that.

    then you can go to theme settings -> slideshow -> post type and choose products..

    your latest 4 products should slide there now.

    but: slideshow is quite buggy. although an update is on the way, there many cool slideshow plugins out there more than worth having a look at.

    Thought I’d ask a follow up question here rather than start a new thread.

    I have 3 images I would like to put into the slider and can’t figure out how to do that.

    It’s your thread but a) it’s encouraged that you have one thread per topic and b) this one is marked “resolved” and those often get ignored because the problem is “resolved” already…
