I am trying to set up my home page as static and also have 1 blog page at least. When I set the static page to home and the blog page to blog under the settings-reading my blogs page doesn’t show any of the post any longer. How do I fix this or what am I doing wrong. I’ve been trying just about everything.

    Thanks

    Scott

Thanks for the help. I have followed that page before and read it. I did it one more time as well. My Home page is static but no post show up on my blog page. If I change out of the static page in the reading panels the post show up. Something else is messed up.

Should my blog page say blog verse default template? I have tried both and that didn’t help.

Is there any other thing that should be tried. I didn’t really understand the enable permalinks. I went to the permalinks page and it said default selected.

Thanks for any further help! Scott

Any other ideas folks. What are the template defaults when trying to set the blog and static page? How do you get the post to show up on the blog page. Are they supposed to just show up. Thanks for any help.

did you create a special – empty page – titled “Blog”?
did you assign that empty page as your blog page?
    dashboard – settings – reading

Yes tried several times exactly as the instructions stated…. the blog page is emtpy and template is set to blog. In the settings reading I changed to a static page and set the front page to home and the post page to blog jsut like it said to do. No post show up on the blog page.

I’ve never seen that not work
would you let me into your blog to look at it?
