• Good day.

I would appreciate help with two questions.

    1. In my site menu the homepage is listed as “Home.” However the url appears as https://www.mysite.com/home. How can I keep the Home title in the menu but the actual url that appears and can be searched for is just https://www.mysite.com ??

    2. Favicon. Currently the WordPress favicon appears for each page in the browser. How do I delete the “W” favicon or have no favicon? (I already tried doing a favicon–named favicon.ico, in Appearance ? Customize and it messed up my header icon.)

Thank you for your time and help on both!

    Best,
    John

  • Are you sure you have set the homepage to Static Homepage in your General –> Settings:

    Creating a Static Front Page

Get the image file you want to use for your favicon, and generate all the files and html markup you need using this tool:
    https://realfavicongenerator.net/
Once you generate, you will be left with a zip file to unzip on your server at the root of your homepage, and also add a little code to your header.php file in your child theme.
