I have installed my template’s demo content and all of the pages are functioning, with the exception of the home page. The home page (and all other pages) appears as I would expect with the “URL/home” extension, but not when I access just the site URL.

    Please help.

  • Are you saying that when you type in just the URL, you get a blank screen?

I get a “This site is under development” page.

Is a static home page set? Or is this message coming from your Hosting provider?

What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

It’s a theme from templatemonster.com. The message is coming from my Hosting provider. I’m guessing it’s in the FTP that somehow the index file isn’t set to the home page? …I don’t know enough to know if that makes sense.

When I select a static home page, then I can’t even access my home page from “jdmorrisconstruction.com/home.”

I’m just trying to set it up as the demo, and customize from there.

It is possible that your domain is “parked.”

If this is the case, your hosting provider can unpark for you.

After closer examination of the index.html file, I found that the image I was seeing as my home page was actually written into the code.

I deleted the index.html file from the FTP and it resolved the issue.

    Thanks!
