  • You have to change it in the menu editor.

    Go to Appearances->Menu

Thank you Stacy for your reply. I just went to Appearances->Menu like you suggested and copied the correct link and pasted it in the correct place. It didn’t change tho ?? The page shows post on the right side of the page but the body of the page is blank. Am I missing something? Did you look at my website? Thanks so much for your help!!!!!

In Appearances->Menu delete the menu item Home.

Then on the right hand side of the menu editing screen choose links.

Copy https://60secondsguitar.com/ into the URL box.

Change the link text to Home.

Add to Menu. It will add it to the bottom. Drag it up to the top and save.

Hi Stacy, Thanks for the super quick response. I had to leave for bit. Thanks for the detailed message. I did what you said but it has the same result ?? Is there some setting I might be missing? I will check my email every 10 minutes from now on. Thanks again.

Wow that is weird. I made this picture for you of how to do it. But maybe there is something with your theme?

What happens if you delete the page “Home”?

Yes it is weird. Ok, I just deleted the page home and went to appearance and deleted home there. I just created a new home page and went to appearance-menu and copied the link like you said. Navigation Label has Home in it but there is nothing in Title Attribute. Should there be?

I just tried it and it does the same thing ?? I did notice when the home page was gone that the site looked different. Right now the home tab is back and there is this ABOUT JOHN floating at the top. It moves in a different space when I click on the different tabs. Could this be the problem?

    Thanks

I made a screen shot so you could see what my settings look like. It is a little different then yours but the content is the same. I don’t know how made the cool picture so I could see it. Pretty awesome.

Thanks so much. I am off to bed so I will check back tomorrow early.

Use tinypic to upload your screenshot to the internet so I can see it.

Change setting from Static page to Your latest posts on Reading Settings.

    Hi John,

Your theme, Continuum, has a home page that is automatically generated from the Home Page Builder. You do NOT want to make a page that is called “Home”. Please delete the page called “Home” as I explained earlier in this thread. Do not create another page named “Home”. Direct the link to “Home” on your menus to the main url https://60secondsguitar.com for your site where your custom home page is shown by the theme.

Have you tried the support for Continuum on Industrial Themes? Because you have purchased a premium theme, you have premium support. You might get your answers faster there.

Here is my attempt to load an image of my screen shot. I went to tinypic, uploaded the image and copied the code for Forums & Message Boards. Is this correct.

rancahpost, I changed the setting to Static page. It made the main page–the one you first look at when you open the website– to look like the home page that I don’t like. So I think you are on to something by accident. Maybe my home page is set to static. I will try to change that.

Good morning Stacyduval, Wow you are really on top of things. First, thank you for your time. I REALLY appreciate it. I deleted the home page like you said and it works now. Yeah!!!! There is not a home tab, I wish there was ?? I do click on the logo at the top and it brings me back to the home page ?? I was thinking this morning about contacting Continuum. Thanks for confirming my thoughts and helping me with this.

Also, I don’t know where I am suppose to —-Direct the link to “Home” on your menus to the main url https://60secondsguitar.com for your site where your custom home page is shown by the theme.

If you mean where I click the drop arrow next to the tab name and it show the ULR then they all are directed to the appropriate location except one. It just says Video lessons. To the right it says PAGE and the other say CUSTOM. It works fine tho.

    Go to your dashboard.

    Choose Appearance

    Choose Menus

    Open up Links

Type in the url of your site into the URL box

Type in Home into the Link Text box.

    Press Add to Menu.

    Look at Menu Structure

Home Menu Item is at bottom

Drag to top of Menu items

    Save Menu

Thank you Stacy, your directions are great. I now have home in the Menu Structure with the correct URL. I am not sure what it does because I don’t have a home tab but if it helps great.

I also contacted Continuum. They wanted my purchase code. I have the receipt from the purchase but not the code ?? grrrrrr. We will see when I get a comment back from the general comments.

    Thanks.
