I am using the DeepBlue theme. Across the top it has tabs for each of my pages. I have my settings in WordPress set to use a static page (Home) as my front page. I also set it to use a different page (My Blog) for my posts page.

All is fine except when you click on what I have named as the My Blog tab, it will go to my blog posts but it also opens the Home tab. You see only the posts page but both tabs are colored as if it is that page that you are viewing. It is almost as if that Home tab is connected to the posts page and I can’t find a way to disconnect it. I hope I am explaining it clearly enough. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can remedy this? Thanks

  • I’m having the same issue. The forums haven’t been any help, so I tried deleting the home tab altogether. The problem with that is the Blog tab will never highlight. While it does link to the Blog posts, the tab not highlighting is a bit confusing for the user and just looks bad. I’m using the Studio Press theme on version 2.7RC1, BTW.

I ended up switching themes and was glad to see that I did not have the same problem in the second theme. I figured that it must have just been something about the DeepBlue theme, but if you are having the same problem in Studio Press then maybe it is a WordPress thing after all. I have switched to envision 3c by Headsetoptions in case you want to give that a try. Thanks for the reply!

I could not see “Home” tab on my main page, anyone can help me to solve this problem?

    Thanks

I am not sure if this is your problem, but you may have to set it to go to your home page. Go to settings and click on reading. Where it says “Front page displays” set what page you want as your home page. That might create a Home tab for you, but again I am not sure.

If I want to move some posts to a different tab, must I rewrite the post? Is there a way to organize them without redoing the post?

I don’t know because I am new to WordPress, but I wonder if you could just change the title to the corresponding tab. It may show up under that tab then without your having to rewrite the post. Someone with more knowledge might have a better answer than that though.

Thanks, jbog, but it’s not that easy! I tried….
