Hey all, I hope someone can help me along. My goal is to run wordpress on a server running win2003 from my home exclusively for family members (about 10) across the internet, so we can “blog” about our week, day etcetera. I chose not to use a service because it will be mostly private, something I will work on later. The server IP is 10.10.10.30. The hostname is dtsvr.Currently I have XAMPP running fine on the server. WordPress and my blog page, Fam-J was working fine on the server side until unexplicably it quit. Now on the server side when I load(https://localhost/wordpress/) I get the Fam-J page but the presentation is gone with just plain text. When a PC on the lan tries to load the server IP(10.10.10.30/wordpress) or (https://dtsvr/wordpress) I only get the XAMPP homepage (https://10.10.10.30/xampp/) and not Fam-J. Seems like the default page is messed up?!? When I look at the XAMMP control panel it shows both Apache and MySQL as running. I’m wondering what needs to be done to get to the Fam-J page. I’m studying network administration so I have a pretty good idea about how things work but clueless with whats going on here. I’m thinking about re-installing my win2003 server and starting fresh. I’ve spent an enormous amount of time on this already and thinking about canning it.. appreciate some constructive hints or help.

    Cheers, Helwoe!

After taking another look today I realized that I made a change in the Options. I had changed https://localhost/wordpress to https://10.10.10.30
Thats what I like about binary, on or off. No equivication!
So now I can log in from both server side and PC on the lan. I hope this helps anyone with a similar problem because I haven’t found anything that came close. When I finish setting this up on the internet I’ll follow up.

    Helwoe!
