Sadly, my site seems to be one that’s not immediately compatible with the WP Optimize minification process. I tried all the suggested fixes (e.g., disabling merging of JavaScript files, turning off minification for different combinations of settings, etc.), and none of them seem to help sadly.

As of now, I have the “enable minify” setting on, and nothing else.

    Anyone have any ideas?

  • @anonimice Have you performed a conflict test yet?

Try deactivating all plugins except for WP-Optimizeand see if it is resolved.

If so, reactivate each plugin one at a time until you find the culprit. You can check for the issue between activating each plugin, so you can see which one is causing problems.

Please let us know your findings.

I have a similar problem. I am running on Avada.
I turned on the Javascript and CSS Minify and the homepage is blank and does not load.
I turned them off and it loads but then my GTMetrix score is horrible (D).
I wanted this plug in to make my site faster etc., but it doesnt seem I can.
I have removed all but one slider, the rest are static images that have been compressed.
    Any suggestions?

@eaglewoodes Could you please try to uncheck the option “Enable merging of Javascript files” and “Enable merging of CSS files” form WP-Optimize > Minify > Javascript and CSS and check if it helps to fix the issue?

That is what I had to do in order to get my homepage to load – otherwise its blank.
When I do that my GTMetrix score severely drops.

So for me, I found that it works if I disable everything CSS related. Otherwise, some portion of the site breaks. It is what it is!
