homepage control influence on header and image size

Hi my website is https://www.psfcorporation.com
I want to use meta slider to put a slider on my website. However, if I don’t use the plugin called “homepage control” and set the page to homepage settings, there will be a huge padding above the meta slider.

If I use “homepage control” and choose homepage for my home page settings, there will be a white line under my header and above the meta slider.

How do i make it so that there is no padding/spacing between the header and meta slider?

Also using homepage control affects the size of the images that appear on my home page. I am currently using a short code to show my featured products, however they shrink whenever I set the the page settings to “homepage”
