Homepage does not get affected by plugin

Perhaps you need to clear the cache of your browser, because I see your homepage with each post limited after a certain amount of words.

Thanks for the amazingly fast response!

I limited excerpts to be 100 words. If you compare homepage to category pages, you will see the difference. I did clear caches and check on my iphone, home page still not in effect.

Your homepage seems to follow a different rule. Please check if perhaps your theme (lithium, as I see) limits the home page posts, this way preventing the plugin to work. You can test this easily by checking your theme options, or (if nothing relevant is mentioned there) if you temporarily change your blog’s theme. Note that if a theme includes such a function the plugin cannot do anything to interfere.

That is right, homepage works very well with this plugin on another theme.

Is there any way for me to remove that function you mentioned? I am not a coder, but if you know that, I can try my best to remove it..

It is not recommended that you edit your theme, because in the next update (assuming one happens) you will lose your changes. However, if your theme won’t let you change this option, and you still want to make an edit, the safest you can do is to open the file content.php, search for the phrase lithium_excerpt and change the number to have your theme display less words.

In your position I would just change theme. Check the wordpress pages or https://finewordpressthemes.com/ to find a free elegant theme (Lithium is not that good anyway…)

I disabled automated wordpress updates.
