    Hi,

I recently installed this plugin and loved it. I checked it for a few pages and it worked fine for all except for the homepage.

Right after entering domain.com in the address bar, it started downloading a zipped folder of .gz extension unzipping which shows a file with no extension (shows file type as file in properties). Accessing the website from search engine didn’t change anything.

Then I decided to try out another plugin. It made the homepage accessible again but then another page that belonged to an article started doing the same thing. It happened just for one article, others were opening fine.

Can you help me understand the reason behind this?

Does it have something to do with caching, cloudflare, gzip encoding, etc?

Also, I’m using newspaper theme which offers the functionality to server different version of the website depending upon the device. So I have different cache files for mobile and PC.

In some cases, the website opens correctly on PC after clearing cache and all, but when accessed over mobile phone, it starts behaving as I explained earlier and vice-versa some times.

Then, I turned off the mobile theme plugin and served the same content regardless of device and it worked just fine — no issues, whatsoever. Is there any way to set up this plugin in a way that it look for different cache files for different devices with custom coding if requested?

    Hi @prtksng

Good day to you and thanks for trying out SuperPWA. As you haven’t mentioned the website URL, I didn’t get a clear cut idea over the issue which you are facing. Normally SuperPWA won’t download any zip files or anything other while accessing the website. SuperPWA converts the website into PWA with the power of manifest and service worker file.

Unfortunately, at this moment you cannot customise how the plugin works over different devices by any form of custom coding, as the PWA properties are added all the website as a whole.

Hope it helps and looking forward.

    Stay Safe and Healthy!
