• Hi everyone,

I recently downloaded this theme and imported the demo data including all attachments and images. Everything imported, except for the section above “This is a standard post” ad below the homepage title.

Does anyone know how to upload and add an image in that section? On the theme demo page, its the image with the buildings – https://demo.competethemes.com/?theme=chosen

This is my site, as you can see it’s just blank and missing – https://i.imgur.com/N6gnYHf.jpg

    Thanks all

    Thanks for using Chosen!

This is happening because the “Hello World” post at the top is the one that would display the extra-large Featured Image, but it doesn’t have one yet. You can add a Featured Image to that post or delete it, and then your site will look like the demo site.

    Ah, yes, got it. Thanks!

While I have you though, I edited that same post and centered the text on the page. On the homepage though, the text remains left aligned, but when I click on the the posts direct page link, it’s centered fine. Why is the homepage behaving this way for the post and not center aligning the text?

The automatic excerpts remove all formatting including text alignment, images, and links.

To create an excerpt that preserves the formatting, you can use the “More” block: https://screenshot.competethemes.com/z8u49wo0. Add that to your post, and any content that appears above it will be included on the homepage. The text will stay center-aligned and can include images and other blocks as well.
