I’d like to add a feed from my Facebook page to my website on the Homepage. I can’t figure out how to do this. I’ve tried adding short code to my footer/header, adding short-code to different sections of my theme and trying to somehow link it to the latest news section in my theme settings. No luck. It seems like it should be a fairly easy task…where am I going wrong? How can I fix it? ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey nbarret,

Thank you for reaching out for assistance. If you have the plugin installed already then lets start with something very basic for testing purposes.

    1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard – Pages – Add new
    2. Using the text tab at the top right of the page content area place this shortcode on the page… [custom-facebook-feed id=nbc num=3]
    3. Click on Save or Update page and then view the page. You should see three posts from the Facebook page of NBC.

If that is not working then it might require some deeper investigation which can best be handled by contacting us through our Support page here and submitting a support request. We can then request your plugin settings to see where the problem might lie and provide much better direction to you.

Also you might find the plugin setup instructions here to be helpful as well.

We are happy to assist further as needed so you can get up and running for feed displays.

Hello, thank-you for the quick reply. I can get the plugin and feed working ok on a new page… but I can’t figure out how to get it display on my Homepage. I’d rather have it there than rely on users needing to go deeper into the website to find it. Maybe this is more related to my theme and I should have asked this question in another area?

    Hey nbarrett,

We are willing to take a closer look for you if wish. Just send a support request via this support page here with temporary user credentials and a brief description of the problem and we will inspect it first hand. For confidentiality reasons please don’t post that type of information in this thread.

If the plugin is working on the test page and not the home page then it may be a theme issue but unless the homepage page template is quite different than your test page this should not make a difference.

    Thanks.
