• Hello, I am very new to all this and did not design the above website, of which I am trying to fix. Below is a copy of an email I sent to wordpress.com support. and the response. I don’t understand the response and can’t find “header image” when I log on as admin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there from WordPress.com support,

    Your message:

Hi – the homepage of my site shows a woman on a mountaintop, looking as if on a
yoga retreat. I’m not sure how this happened. I think it must have to do with
theme but I don’t know how to fix it. Help!

That would be due to changing your site’s theme, yes. You have chosen the Karuna theme and that image is a default it sets for your site’s header image.

You can change this image from WP Admin -> Appearance -> Customize -> Header image.

Though be aware that the https://bartoneinteriors.com/ site is not pointed to WordPress.com hosting and is using the www.ads-software.com software along with the Jetpack plugin to connect with.

We actually would not be able to assist with this site directly since it’s not hosted on our servers and instead has it’s A Record pointed to
192.185.129.35 which is another hosting provider other than WordPress.com hosting.

Let us know if you have any further questions about this request and we can help where needed.

    Best wishes,

  • I’m happy to help!

The emailed instructions you received earlier references using the WordPress “Customizer” tool to update the header image. You can access this tool by clicking on “Appearance” and then “Customize” from the left-side navigation of your WordPress backend area.

From this screen, you will see a section called “Header Image.” Click on this, and choose a new image, or upload a new one, and be sure to click the blue “Publish” button at the top of the screen to save changes.

I created a quick walk-through video you can follow here:
