Homepage image overlay hover not woking on mobile version

Hi there,

First of all; Im new here, so sorry in advance if i Dont explain things very clear. I tried to do my best.

Im working on the new homepage for my website. Everything fine untill I found out that the overlay hover -thats’s covering the image that’s first shown when opening the homepage- doesn’t work on the mobile version of the website. The dark transparant overlay is not there anymore, while it works perfectly on the desktop version.. this makes it impossible to read the text i’ve put there on the mobile version.

Does anyone know how I can make this overlay work on the mobile version of my website aswell?

Im using the salient child theme.
