Homepage no longer loads but everything else does

    The homepage will load if I deactivate this plugin. I’m on WordPress 5.0.3 running Salient Child Theme theme with a newer version of PHP. Any ideas?

    I can see the issues now.

    Are you experimenting the same issues activating the parent theme? Maybe some child theme customization is causing the issues…

    I’ve gotten the homepage to work again. I’m not sure what changed last week but there was part of the page that was pulling in products that was preventing the page from loading while PWB was turned on.

    The page is built with “WPBakery Page Builder”

    I think we’re good to go now. Thanks Tito!

    @freeemulator How to find there was part of the page that was pulling in products that was preventing the page from loading while PWB was turned on, because I have many pages built with wpbakery.

    I cloned the page with the “Duplicate Post” plugin to have a page to experiment with and started removing individual rows until the page loaded. There was a section where I was pulling in products and brands, that’s the one that did it.

    Hi @freeemulator I have also been having the same issues (Also running Salient theme and using WPBakery Page Builder) and have managed to narrow down the issue a bit further thanks to you pointing me in the right direction by saying that the part pulling in products was the root cause of the issue.

    I recreate the issue on pages built with “WPBakery Page Builder” using the “WooCommerce Products” Element that has the “Enable Pagination” option un-ticked.

    As this topic is marked as resolved, I have started a new topic titled “Certain pages do not load when plugin is activate” and hope that a solution can found rather than a workaround by not including a products element.

    Thanks @jamesbestbuys, I agree with you that hopefully a solution will be reached. I’m currently not pulling brand categories or products into the homepage due to issues of it causing the page not to load. I will follow your thread as well!
