    Hello,

I have been checking everything but cannot get the homepage blocked.
Everything else seems to be working fine except the homepage. If I click on anything in the homepage it blocks it.

    Example IP 85.118.92.23

Everything is unchecked in: Pages, Categories, Post types.
“Block visitors from visiting the frontend of your website” is checked.

Please help. I have had this since I installed the plugin and now I find time to post here.

What is the content of your homepage?

Your blog articles or a specific page?

    I have the same problem.
I blocked the whole site to russia and I still get traffic from Russia.
    My country is Italy
and this is the site https://www.tourismtribe.net/

    Hi,

Perhaps this section from the FAQ answers your question:

How come that I still see visitors from countries that I blocked in Statpress or other statistics software?
It’s true that you might see hits from countries that you have blocked in your statistics software. That is the way it works, certain plugins may be run before iQ Block Country is run so it may log visitors to pages.

This however does not mean this plugin does not work, it just means somebody tried to access a certain page or pages and that that fact is logged.

If you are worried this plugin does not work you could try to block your own country or your own ip address and afterwards visit your frontend website and see if it actually works. Also if you have access to the logfiles of the webserver that hosts your website you can see that these visitors are actually denied with a HTTP error 403.

    Ok Pascal,
    I didn’t think of that.
But then how can I remove the visits I block from certain countries from google analytics that make my stats wrong about the bounce rate?
    Thanks
    Alex

You could try by moving your Google Analytics code to the bottom of your page if it is not already there.
