• Hello there!
Please someone helpme out with this.

I’ve been running a new wordpress site for a couple of weeks.

Until today everything was fine, but now, whenever I update something (either creating a new post or changing a widget on the sidebar), nothing happens on the homepage.

All the other pages seem to be working fine. If I check a category page for instance, all the new posts are listed as all the sidebar changes I did.

I was assuming it was the W3-Supercache plugin, so I deactivated it. Then I tried to open it on both Chrome and Firefox and nothing happened. I actually never had opened the site on Firefox before, so I think that might not be a browser cache issue.

I’ve updated the YOAST SEO plugin today and that was the only change I did (apart from deactivating the W3 plugin) after I noticed this thing happens.

Any thoughts on how to fix it, please?

    Thanks! ??

Before viewing the updated page, try flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Also, any op cache or content network cache, as well as Cloudflare, clear those caches.

    Hi Tara,
    Thanks for the attention.

I did a double check and the problem seems to be occurring only on the sidebar, not on the actual “content” of the homepage.

Do you still think that it could be a cache problem or would it be something else?

The first thing I did when I noticed this problem was to clear the cache, as there was a message saying so on the admin panel. Since the problem didn’t solve, I deactivated the W3 Total Cache plugin (the only one that I think handles cache) and nothing happened.

Should I reactivate it and then tweek with these parameters?

    Thanks!

You could try that, but it sounds more like a server/CDN caching issue. As Tara suggested, clear your server cache via your host and clear any CDN if you are using it.

Then clear your browser cache and see if that fixes anything.
