Homepage option disappeared

    I am currently building a web shop with the theme of Virtue but having a little problem….. I want to have a static homepage, but during my settings – to read, the option to choose the homepage has disappeared. Anyone have a clue what might have become crazy? Hope to get some help here!

    Sorry my bad english…. I want to have a static homepage and not blog entries. But under my settings and then reading, the option to choose a static firstpage is gone….Do you understand what I mean?

    Go to Appearance > Customize > Static Front page.
    Try from there, if not work again feel free to ask.
    I will do my best to address your problem.

    But there is no Static Front page option….

    Would you please provide the link of your site? It may arise due to error on your site.

    My site is https://www.travelandspirit.se/. Maybe you can tell me how I can fix my categories right and also how I make my pictures the same size? The page is far from ready but maybe one day it will be okej….

    Which version of wordpress you are using? Did you write some function or code on theme? no any error found on your site and while setup your theme on my local server it is working perfectly and no any above mentioned issues arise.
    Sure i will help you to align the category but i am also confuse about the Static Front page options hide from the reading. I took some help through google and no any exact reason found. I will do my best to solve this issue as soon.

    I′m using 4.3.1. No I have WP as an application at my webhotel, maybe that′s a problem? No, I haven′t used any codes or other function at all. Thank you for all your help so far!!!!

    I’m new to wordpress and this theme, but perhaps if you create a separate blog page, then the theme will allow you to change the home page to a static page.

    Just to clarify you have to have a page that is published for the option to show.. else you can’t choose to have a static page if you have first not created a static page.

    Go to pages add new and make a page.

    Then go to settings > reading.

    I have already both a blog page and couple of other pages also ??

    Hey,
    These pages at published correct? They are not private or in draft stage?

    What plugins are you using? Have you tried reinstalling wordpress? deactivating plugins?

    Okej, so now suddenly the option to choose a static page is there…. Strange! So finally I can make my frontpage! Thank you everyone for your tips!
