Homepage Panel Widget Background Customisation

    Hi there,

    This is in regard to the panel widgets in the Vantage homepage customisation.

    Currently I have a background image that is can sometimes cause the text to contrast quite badly depending on the size of the screen that is viewing my homepage. In a nutshell, I’d like to lighten the entire panel as well as giving it a transparency value so that it doesn’t completely block the background image, but the text can remain readable. I’ve fiddled with the styles.css file but my modifications don’t seem to take.

    Any ideas?

    Update:

    Issue resolved, I made the n00b mistake of playing with the wrong .css file.

    Glad to hear you’ve made progress here.

    Please remember to use Appearance > Custom CSS to store your CSS modifications or the style.css of a child theme. When a theme or plugin is updated all files are overwritten.
