First, I LOVE this theme, and am having a blast it! But I’m having an issue:

Homepage posts disappear when I set the Theme Options/Blog/Featured Post Count to 2 or more! Is there another setting that needs to be changed so I can use the slider with several featured images, yet keep all the posts showing (thumbs and excerpts) just like on the demo site, https://demo.alxmedia.se/hueman/?

With the above setting set to 1, all the posts appear normally on the homepage! Very strange!
    Thanks so much!

Hi msbree. What you’ve described is not normal theme behavior. Can you set the Featured Post Count to more than one and post a link to your site? Thanks.

bdbrown…I wish I could but my site is in early dev stage and in maintenance mode because I do not want the search engines to pick it up!

What I can tell you is that I set the Featured Post Count to 3 (there are currently 3 posts on the site), and when I do a ‘View Source Code’, the posts are in the code, but they do not appear on the home page.

It’s almost as if that entire container setting for text is white, hiding the posts.

I had made some minor css changes, but removed all those css changes from Child Theme style sheet, saved it, and still the same problem….posts do not show on home page!

One more thing, if I tick off the “Include featured posts in content area” box in Theme Options/Blog, the posts appear just fine!

    Any ideas? Thank you!

OK. If you have 3 posts on the site, and all 3 are included in the Featured Posts, those will only show in the content area if the “Include…” option is enabled. The option is there to let the user choose if they want to show duplicates of the Featured Posts on the home page. If you have more than 3 posts, the Featured Posts should display the most recent 3, and the oldest post would be displayed in the content area. Does that help?

bdbrown…YES, I understand now exactly why it was doing what it did! I tested it by setting the Featured Posts to 2, and then 3rd post appeared in the content area!

Thank you so much for understanding my issue and explaining it in a way I totally understand!!! ??

You’re most welcome. Resolving issues here is a two-way street. Your detailed description of the problem and your configuration was a big help. Thanks.

    YUP, I agree…it’s a 2-way street, and I’m glad I gave such detailed description!
    Thank you so much again!
