Homepage Showing as 1 long strip on mobile. – Astra theme

  • The homepage loads perfectly fine but within seconds it switches to a long thin text box. Weird thing is It’s only happening on the homepage. The other pages are scaling fine. Can anyone help?

  • I’m not sure exactly where to fix this, but in the html at the top of the page, it says:

    style="--ast-scrollbar-width: 242px;"

    In my browser, when I change the “242px” to “thin” or “none”, it displays properly. In your other pages, the value is “10px”

    It’s an issue with the newest version that many people are experiencing, apparently their company doesn’t know how to do QC bug checking before deploying live updates and messing up peoples’ sites, wasting hours of their time trying to troubleshoot.

    Rolling it back fixes the issue. Hopefully in the future the company attempts to check their work before blindly pushing out updates.

    @offpeakdesign Thanks so much for replying. So it’s a browser issue? How do I edit this code on the backend of my site? Some CSS maybe?

    I wasn’t able replicate the issue again, so maybe you fixed it or rolled back to the previous theme version? I don’t think it’s a browser issue. As tovlakas mentioned, the recent update seemed to particular mess up spacing for many websites, so probably very likely related.
