Homepage Slider doesn't show up if only videos in it

In /inc/featured.php there is a Javascript that checks if the first image is loaded in the slider, and then loads flexslider on document ready to make it as fast as possible. However, when you use videos instead there is no image to check for, so it won’t load at all.

Additional question…
If i have e.g. two featured videos in featured-slider and function “slideshow: true” is set in function.php, it would be great that slider stops automatically if the visitor starts one of the videos. Otherwise slider continues sliding and the running video appears and disappers…
Is there a way to reach this?

Not sure about that one, but hover on pause is enabled, so as long as the cursor stays on top of the slider, it should not move (I think?).

if we hack the hueman master theme,
a) will it effect during version upgrade (i am using child theme )
b) if we use this hack, will it work only for videos,
what if i have both videos and featured image post, will both
the featured images and video post, will show up in the “slider”
on blog home page
