HomePage Slider – graphics huge

Hi all

I am trying to create a home page slider for my front page, however, the graphics appear huge when I save them. If I make the image smaller before inserting it, it still shows as huge which then affects the definition.

I can’t find any settings in which I can change the size of the graphics. Can anybody help please?
