Homepage to WordPress

    I am responsible for a reasonable homepage with quite some articles, say about 40-50, some of 4-5 pages and other information inclusive users feedback.

    Articles are written by me.

    The host of the homepage is not willing to help keeping up the homepage for a very log time longer not will he support it.

    The articles are written in HTML and I guess XML

    How much work would be needed to shift this homepage to WordPress?

    It sounds a bit complicated. Is it possible to start a testcase so that I might test how WP does:

    – Make Links outside texts

    – Makes Links inside texts

    – Insert pictures.

    – Check spelling errors in English, Swedish, Finnish…

    I can reasonably do such things in HTML but this might be different.

    A kind of ABC book with examples?

    Have you considered grabbing a free WP blog in wordpress.com? That would give you an opportunity to try out the editing interface.
