Hi, I am trying to enable the home page widgets: in the back end I have “Display Home Page Top Widget Area” ticked on and I have added a simple text widget, but it doesn’t show up on the first page: what am I missing?

  • Hi, I was wondering how to add a link to the homepage widgets. Maybe that could be added in an update?

Do you have the home page set to latest posts or static page?

You can easily add a link to your widget using HTML.

never mind, I hard coded what I needed. It would’ve been handy if the widgets worked…

@c.bavota I understand how to add a link to the text but how can I add a link to the picture? When I hover over the picture I’d like to make it rotate or spin as well as have it go to a link when I click on it. I know the html and css to make it happen I just don’t know which files to edit it once I’ve added the widget to the Home Page Top Area.

    Thanks again for your help.

I’m also wondering if the front page widgets can show up if the Front page is Static? (That’s what I want) I can only get them to show up if it’s set to latest posts. I also would like the images to be links as well. Is this a capability we can get in the Pro version? FYI: I’m a newbie to WordPress.

where do we put the html code to make the home page widgets a link?

I would also like to know the answer to what “Axis-e” asked.

    Thanks
