Homepage Widgets Not Displaying/Working

I have the homepage widgets enabled in prose extras and populated the widget areas with widgets. I have the genesis settings set to display a page called HOME for the homepage instead of blog posts. Not seeing these areas. What else has to be enabled to get them to work?
