When I adjust the “Blog pages show at most” over the number 38, my home page won’t load. When I switch themes I don’t have that problem. Any suggestions?

  • well if in switching themes your instruction shows 38, then it must be the custom theme you are using which might have specific query showposts number. what theme are you using? site url?

I don’t understand what you mean by “instruction shows 38”. What instructions? There are no instructions telling me how many blog posts I’m allowed to have.

“instruction shows 38” – sorry, poor choice of words, long night. that was in reference to your first post about adjusting blog pages to show more than 38…

in any case, while i didn’t see per initial scan re what could limit your posts in your theme’s index.php or your home page, you might want to consider switching themes. there is obfuscated code in your theme’s footer.php which adds the sponsored links at the bottom of your page, could have caused the prevention of showing more than 38 posts in the home page, and who knows what other negative impact it may cause to your ranking in google.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my site. I don’t have sponsored links at the bottom of any of my pages. I like the theme I’m using. How can I correct the code in my theme’s footer.php. I’d be willing to pay someone.

I see what you mean. I had something called “Quickads” on my site through Scribfire and didn’t realize it. I removed it and thanks to you that solved the problem. Many, many thanks. I really appreciate your help.
