Hi! I at the stage of e-mail engagements and I have 2 questions:

    1) Is there an option to add files to download? (I know you have the assignments extension but I couldn’t afford it yet as I am pre launch) Could I just add a link? Could I embed a video in the email? (Do you have an integration with MailChimp to do the triggers, etc from there?

    2) If I have different access plans but I want the triggers and emails to be exactly the same across 2 or more access plans, is there an option to clone/replicate the emails?

    Thank you so much!

UPDATE: 1) the emails allow for links (downloadable if you like). I added a link with homework in the beginning of the quiz page, I think that’ll work just fine for now.

    2) Still pending. I got a problem here. I’m pretty sure I did everything according to instructions: create email, then engagement which should send an email after purchase + another with the first lesson.
I tested to buy the course myself, with 2 different email addresses and NOTHING was triggered, I’m not sure what I’m missing :-/ I went back and double checked everything. Also, I tried buying different access plans (I added an engagement with the same email to be sent regardless which access plan is bought), and nothing was sent.
I can’t wait to launch, but I really need this to work…..

I tried creating the engagement trigger with “buy access plan” (and added one for each access plan), and tried trigger when purchasing course, and I only have 1 single course, so, I made no mistakes there. Nothing triggered the email to be sent, and I tried buying with 3 different email addresses…. I may be missing something, or this may be not working…. :-\

So, I gave up with that and started creating a MailChimp autorresponder. I would looove to get the integration once I get some revenue, but until then, is there any way to get notified on my phone when a students enrolls, so that I can manually add them to MailChimp? Thanks!

Unfortunately I haven’t built a set of duplication tools for these content types… Sorry about that. You’ll have to manually copy/paste the content and setup the duplicate triggers.

In the future I very much want the setup of engagement, emails, etc… to be much faster and simpler but I need to rewrite and rework a lot of the code and interfaces. I wish that i would have foreseen the issues that users are encountering 2 years ago when we built the current system but I hadn’t. We have what we have today and I hope you can suffer your way through it. The system is very powerful but I admit it’s slow to setup…

A lot of users run into email issues on shared webhosts. If your host is placing caps of email sends they often fail silently and there’s nothing LifterLMS (or any WordPress plugin) can do about this. Please take a look at our email faqs: https://lifterlms.com/docs/lifterlms-email-faqs/

You can use this plugin with the Gmail API to get around this cheaply: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/

You can contact your webhost to see if they could help you identify the source of your email issues as well.

    See above

SMS notifications are available through LifterLMS Twilio which requires a Twilio account (not free) to send SMS. LifterLMS Twilio will allow you to send SMS to yourself and your students. But that’s not free either.

Best solution is to get your emails fixed on your webhost.

Hope that helps and sorry I can’t fix this for you,

Thanks so much, you are actually quite helpful!

About “a way to get notified on my phone when a students enrolls, so that I can manually add them to MailChimp” I didn’t mean SMS, just ANY way to see who enrolls through any app? I downloaded WP app but lifterLMS is not there, so I was wondering how could I check that on the go…. Honestly, I loooove the MailChimp interphase and how easy is to create the workflows I would love to do it from there. So correct me if I’m wrong, the best way to go then, it would be to get the integration so that the enrolled students automatically are added to the workflow?

PS: in relation to this. I delay each lesson 7 days. If I marked as a condition for the next lesson to approve the Quiz, and they didn’t, will that prevent them from accessing the next lesson altogether (I prefer this), or only to access the next quiz?

Thank you so much for your time and patience!

We do not have an App. No. I haven’t looked into what’s available through the WP Core app but at this moment we just don’t have one.

WordPress is mobile though so you could always login to the website through a browser on your phone. Not exactly the same but it is possible.

To be very honest we’re not app developers so while we have had requests for developing a LifterLMS phone app, it’s probably something in the far distant future.

LifterLMS MailChimp would allow you to pass data into MailChimp and then you can use auto-responders to send all the emails you like through MC.

Kind of… delay drip delays work independently of quizzes. You can use them together but setting up a delay will not require them to complete a quiz to proceed.

If you want the quiz to be required, ensure the lesson “Require Passing Grade on Quiz” is enabled for each lesson and also setup prerequisites so that the previous lesson is required in order to access the next lesson.

This will mean that users can’t mark a lesson complete but will instead have to PASS a quiz to complete the lessons. Since the lessons are prerequisites of each they won’t be able to proceed to the next lesson until the previous lesson is completed.

    Hope that helps,
