• It seems no matter what I do the spam bots still pass the honey pot and the captcha math on your form. Started blocking individual IP numbers to see if it helps. How can the bots do the simple math and pass honey pot? Thought especially honey pot should make the bots trip? I can inspect the page and see there is a hidden field. Can I check somehow if honey pot is really working on my site beside the inspect?

    Hi @daspi

We’ll release an update this week for the Google reCAPTCHA support.

Unfortunately I had same issue with Formidable with Honeypot and Google reCaptcha installed. Spam still makes it. Not sure how they all get around it. Maybe I need to start geo blocking by IP?

    Hi @daspi

If the issue was happening with reCAPTCHA then it’s probably manual spam, not spam bots.

Do the emails have some specific words in common that aren’t common in normal emails, such as “casino” or “pills”, words like that?

If that’s the case, you can use the option we added in February that allows you to blacklist certain words. It would stop bots and also manual spam. If there’s a blacklisted word in the message they will see the “success page” but the emails aren’t really sent.

It’s the “Blacklisted Words” option at the bottom of the “Antispam” section in the options page.

Hi There, we’re also experiencing a lot of spam in our inbox.
We’ve enabled the Honeypot, and the (should be, bot proof) challenge question.
Would it be an option to have a couple of security questions, and serve them randomly? This could seriously reduce the amount of spam.
