hooks?

Have not added any yet, but your timing is good because I am updating the plugin currently.. if you can let me know which action/filter hooks would be useful for you, I’ll try to implement them in the upcoming version.

Window is closing for hook suggestions for this next impending update.. I did go ahead and add a couple of hooks in the main chat-processing file, so hopefully that will work for you. They fire whenever a user submits a chat message. Otherwise, if you need additional hooks, please feel free to open a new ticket.

I figured a hook after a chat is submitted with info from the submission, but in the end i think im using plain comments as my sort of “chat” system.

I am making a dating website and i needed a way to allow 2 users to chat privately. so im making a post type called “match” and when 2 people join a match they can use the comment section to talk.

No problem, your suggestion helped to improve the plugin nonetheless, so thank you.

I think your idea/workaround of using comments is quite clever, kudos for your ingenuity.
