I’m just starting to use your plugin and addons and I really like what your team has built. I do have a few questions about adding functionality to the plugin.

I have an event site running on buddypress and would like to know if the following is possible and if so, can you provide some sample code that I can use to customize the plugin for my needs (I’m new to PHP and sample code would help greatly).

    1. Is it possible to hook into the Community add-on to add extra Achievement Actions? For example, if someone registered for an event.

    2. Is it possible to segment user generated content by group or categories so you can award achievements for specific topic, etc? For example, we have a Community Service group and events which I could then separate and give different achievements for people that join that group and comment, post, etc. on a specific group topic.

    3. Is it possible to award credit for uploading media?

    4. I’d really like to award achievements for inviting X number of people to join the community. Can this plugin integrate with any plugin that invites members to join the community like Invite Anyone or one of the 3rd party social sharing plugins?

I know it’s a lot of questions but I’m hoping you can assist me.

I can’t say no, it’s not possible to add these types of things. However, I haven’t fully figured out how to add custom ones myself. I’m not the original developer, but am part of the developer team, and there’s always corners that I’m finding that I don’t have full answers to.

I’d end up having to do a lot of trial and error and looking over the current addons’ code to see how those add their own custom triggers. It’s actually something I want to figure out and document better for others who may be in the same boat as you.
