• By far too much advertisement and no clear user guidance within the backend. In case you create an account accidentally (which is an easy thing to do by one mouse click), personal data is being transmitted to them and you’ll get flooded with mails immediately the days after (4+ mails in less than a week).

Even if you ask their support to delete all of your data from their systems, and they confirmed it – it does not stop them to contact you the next day right away, asking if you need support in setting up things.

This might give an impression on how serious they take privacy and data protection issues.

    My personal point of view.

    Hi mtfs,

I’m really sorry you feel that way. The reason we send emails is to welcome new users and provide fast support – and that is explicitly stated in our privacy policy. We don’t share any personal information with third parties and mentioning that we don’t take privacy seriously because we email you to an email address you provide is frankly absurd.

If there are any suggestions or other concerns you thought we haven’t addressed, please email to my direct work email address ([email protected]) and I can help you with all your questions.

    Cheers,
    Mateus

It’s not about *one* email – which would be fine – but about multiple emails send in a very short period of time.

And it’s not about sending me an email, but to send me another email just three days after you’ve confirmed to me in written that my account had been deleted. And yet another one four days later.

Obviously, my data had not been deleted. And this is where concerns about taking privacy serious do come up. Even if you consider it absurd – it’s a violation of law in Europe. Not sure if it’s covered by Canadian PIPEDA as well, but it might.

    Cheers
