Horrible Resize

  • Horrible resize algorithm. Large images scaled down look fuzzy, and there are no reasonable revert option, so you’ll be re-uploading all of your images if you find that the automated resize function messed up the quality of all the images on the site, unless you checked off the Image Backups which doubles the size of the wp-uploads directory.
    I literally took the same image and scaled it in Microsoft Paint the exact same dimensions WP Smush used, and it looked crystal clear.

    Thanks for your review.

    We very rarely have issues with the resize affecting the quality of images, and if there is it usually comes down to the resize being set too small.

    Could you please create a support ticket and include a link to the image you’re having issues with along with the resize dimensions, I’d be happy to take a look into it for you.
