• I used Yoast Premium plugin on my site for a year and it almost destroyed my site! The search console is completely useless and continually listed thousands of errors that didn’t even exist when I went and checked with Google!
Plus the keyword, green light indicator, is so “not helpful’ and badly configured for SEO, it’s a joke. If someone new to SEO followed the green light and hit publish when it lite up they would never get anything to rank.
It seems that Yoast advertises so many “features” BUT most of them are actually completely unnecessary and only add confusion and bloatware.
Plus, their customer service is one of the worst I’ve ever come across. You can only reach them via email which on many occasions took them over a week to even acknowledge.
I have no idea why so many people rave about this falsely overrated, crappy plugin. Do yourself a favour and use almost any other SEO plugin, you’ll be better off.

  • Hi @amrandco,

We’re sorry you feel that way. We have been improving our support response times since you last contacted our support team 7 months ago. The average response time is currently below 5 hours and we will continue to strive and lower it.

The errors in the search console can be marked as fixed when you have taken relevant actions and have solved them. You can also reset your Google authentication code and reconnect to Google Search Console. This will make our plugin reload new crawl issues.

We believe in holistic SEO and we believe our features actually contribute to this view. You say our keyword, green light indicator is a joke. We think differently as you can read in our blog about the perfect focus keyword.

We agree that only focusing on the focus keyword analysis won’t increase your ranking. It’s a part of a bigger whole. You have to do it all; good technical SEO (our plugin takes care of that), a great user experience, writing quality content (which our readability and keyword analysis help you with) and keeping your site secure.

We do like to know which features you think are actually completely unnecessary and only add confusion and bloatware?

Thanks for your review and time!
