Horribly coded plugin AVOID

  • This plugin is so cool in what it does but the Plugin is very finnicky and does not work well. I inherited a website that uses this plugin and it is downright terrible and frustrating. The DB section does not work so you cannot edit old maps and constantly have to start anew before it breaks again eventually in time.

    The options constantly reset and it will go back to using its default templates and options that you have set hundreds of times for no reason.

    I hate this plugin but it is a necessity on the site we use it. If you can do without this functionality your hours will be better spent somewhere else.

    you sure you are using the latest version? And maps are created in it?
    Didn’t encounter any of the described errors but maybe you’re using maps created in an old version (there were some upgrading issues a while ago).

    Please open the chat on https://mapsvg.com and send us a message (or just use the chat that is now embedded in the plugin). We’ll help you to fix everything. MapSVG-Lite (on wp.org) was blocked for security reasons many years ago and we haven’t maintained it here over the last 4-5 years; now we restored it and there was quite a jump from version 4.x – to version 8.x – which might bring some issues during the upgrade of the older maps; but we can fix that manually.
