I have added a new user in wordpress and also have a user added in Zoom.

I went to Assign HOST ID and assigned the HOST ID to the wordpress user.

I then cerated a meeting and assigned the host as being this user and also added the user as an alternative host. I have even added the main zoom account holder as the host and assigned his host id to another wordpress user.

No matter which user i am logged in with when i join a room in the browser none of the users are hosts in that meeting.

    What could be the problem?

    Thank you.

    Alex

    Hello @alexbudin

    Thank you for reaching out!

The meeting should start via Zoom by the user you have specified as the host. After that this user will be the host of this meeting. WordPress users cannot start the meeting being a host when they join in Browser.

    Kind regards

I dont understand what you mean. So why do you have the assign host id to wordpress users? whats the use of that?

How can i have someone join the zoom meeting via browser and be host? is there a way?

    Thank you.

    Hello @alexbudin

Please be informed that we just implement Zoom API into WordPress, we do not change the behavior of Zoom with the plugin. In order to start meetings as a host from the browser, you can enable “Require authentication to join: Sign in to Zoom” while creating the meeting (Screenshot). This setting works only for Zoom accounts with Pro license or higher

    Kind regards
