Embedding videos that are in the WordPress media library is the simplest and most functional method of using the plugin. I believe there are ways of integrating the WordPress media library with S3. There are a few plugins out there but I haven’t tested any of them to see how well they work. I know that most of them are designed to take new uploads and copy them to S3. I don’t know how they work with existing S3 media.

If none of those plugins work for you, you can use the Embed Video from URL tab and paste in the public URL for your S3 videos.

Generally I don’t recommend MOVs for web video because some browsers (like IE) get fussy about them.

    Thanks.

What about if I paste the url from Amazon S3 into your shortcode?

These are my trailers and open to the public (permissions). I have too many to store locally. When the site launches I will W3 Total cache to connect to S3.

Yes, you can also manually change the shortcode.
