Hostgator and Plesk

  • For some reason Plesk does not seem to allow me to install WP in the root directory of a site, always insisting on installing it into a subdirectory. (Yes, I’ve tried just using . but that doesn’t work.) Their support has not been helpful. Any suggestions would be much appreciated for installing on an IIS box. Thanks!

  • sounds to me like a permissions issue on the root directory. that would where i would look first. second would be checking htaccess file in the root directory. hope it helps.
