Hostgator WordPress setup doesnt seem to have worked?

I originally created a site on WordPress using the middle plan, then realised to have plugins it would be more cost effective to go with HostGator instead of upgrading to the top plan on WP.

I cancelled the subscription with WP (but kept the domain name) on WordPress, then signed up with HostGator following this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sd0grLQ4voU

I have Quick Installed WordPress via “hosting -> Software & Services -> QuickInstall”. This install seems to be successful as it gave / offers confirmation.

When I log into https://www.SITENAME.com/wp-admin, it doesn’t seem to have transferred the hosting over to you HostGator and logs me in as though I am still on the original WP account. Namely, it doesn’t allow me to view / install plugins. My feeling is that it is still being hosted by WordPress and not by HostGator.

My key priority and reason for mentioning plugins all the time as my sites focus intention is to have a forum on it.

I have registered the domain name with HostGator (www.earlyestates.com).

I would greatly appriciate any help on this matter
