hosting and site migration

  • Hello everyone. Need a little bit of support here.

    I have a client who I am designing a new site for.

    The site design has been completed and lives on my server as a subdomain to my site

    He has his domain registered at dotster.

    Now i need to make it live.

    If I point his domain to the subdomain on my server will that be sufficient?

    will the link structure in my design change automitically to his domain? do i need to go back and switch all the hrefs to be his domain?

    This is the final step for us for the design/build portion of the project. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

    I just went trough and changed all hrefs on the site to be relative instead of absolute.

    is this something that is really simple that I am just messing up because i am new?

    am i supposed to just pack up all the wordpress files and the database and host it on the clients hosting provider? or do i migrate his domain name to my server and then move the files to that folder?
