Hosting providers

Hi, I would like to know how current the hosting recommendations are on www.ads-software.com. I currently am using hostgator and in the past they were awesome as far as helping me with my wordpress site and just being reliable. Since they were bought I have heard nothing but negative and now I want to set up another wordpress site for someone else, but am leery to use hostgator because they apparently keep crashing. I have worked with a site hosted by godaddy and their support is awful. They cited liability issues for the reason they couldn’t help me or directly answer my questions. I am looking for a hosting site that is unafraid to look at my files if something isn’t working and give me an idea of what is wrong. Thanks!
