• So, I have a conundrum that I need some help with.

Essentially what I am trying to do is this:

    1. I already have hosting for a domain I use for my company
    2. I am currently hosting my WP blog (one of many) out of a subdomain on my hosted domain: this.isanexample.com
    3. I bought a domain name, but don’t want to buy more hosting for it

my question, then, is this:is there any way to point my domain to the subdomain-hosted WP installation and have it function naturally? (ie. with the right URI strings etc.)

  • If your server supports free sub-domains, you can put two or more sites side-by-side inside public_html without having to use a prefix for any. I have three sites (xyz.org, yzx.com and zxy.net) together like that at BlueHost with no additional cost beyond the registrations.
