I am having a Fiver help me change a couple things on my Lodestar page. However, when they are in the Editor, there is no ‘Update’ at the bottom after he inserted the correct code.
I read posts, and found out that I need to change the files in my FTP to allow administrators to ‘Write/Edit’.
Firstly, is that correct? Which files will I need to change to this permissions? All of them, or just a few, or one?
I have poured through the ‘Codex’ article here…
https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_FileZilla
…on how to do this, but I have a Chromebook and can’t install Filezilla, but I do have access to other FTP programs, which I have tried, unsuccessfully to login to my sites FTP area…
What should I type for my Host? My port?
Ok, a last little piece of information, I originally built my site at https://www.wordpress.com/username , and after we were satisfied that we wanted to post it, we redirected our Godaddy purchased domain name to this built website. So now I don’t type WordPress.com/username to go to my site, I type in my GoDaddy web address, and it takes me there.
I write this because I think, I may need to be typing my old WordPress.com/username to get into my ftp for my new website name. I’ve tried both when I am in Ftp programs but can’t get in.
Any help greatly appreciated!!!

Thx

I’ve never seen that work well… but I may be biased. We get a ton of Fiverr spam here.
Can I message you the site, individually?
Nope.
If you’re on WordPress.COM then there’s no FTP access offered. That’s not an option WordPress.COM though you can ask at their forums.

WordPress.com isn’t supported here.
If you site is on GoDaddy then you’ll need to get the details from them.
