    I have a query to do with the hot linking prevention option. If I copy and paste a download URL and send it in an email or via instant message. When that user clicks the link they get the restriction message due to the download option on being for members. If that user is logged into the account and clicks the link should they be prevented from seeing the download as it’s been sent to them via an email or instant message?

    Trying to get my head around how this option works as it’s currently not working for my site.

  • Hey Paul,

    Can you please let us know what is not working? If your downloads are “Members Only” then there is no need to enable “Hot Link protection” as unless the user is logged into your website irrespective of whether they click on the download link on your website or in a email, they won’t be able to download.
